Waterville is in Ohio, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Waterville follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. This is one of the biggest bird migratory areas in the world, and these people won't even tell me how to care for a baby bird, who fell out of its nest and is alert and hungry! If they won't care for him, why prevent someone else from being able to do it properly? I can't wrap my head around these people! At least the bird would've had a chance, but they want it to die. 😭😭

This place is amazing! The rehab all kinds of animals and release them back into the wild! They also have an education side where volunteers come and clean the enclosure and feed the animals EVERYDAY! They have programs like story time for kids on certain days. They are open for you to come in on Mondays and Wednesdays 1pm-6pm and they have people who guide you around and tell you about the different ambassadors. The ambassadors cant be released back to the wild unfortunately due to things like Carl the albino cardinal having seizures and Jojo the Blue Jay being too friendly. They all look very healthy and taken care of very well.

Was there to look at eagle projects for my son and it’s an amazing and selfless place! The amount of animals they care for is mind blowing! They even care for more off site. It would be nice to see some more volunteers and companies to help out with their needs for the animals. There is a lot of cramped places for these guys and not enough room or shelving and storage for them. The education center is amazing though. The amount of opossum and skunks is crazy. It seems to be the number 1 animal there. I wish I took more pictures and videos. I was more focused on the needs and wants of the place then to take a bunch of pictures. The flying squirrel is cool along with the turtles in the front. They have a hawk and birds up the wazoo too. Baby birds need fed every half hour sorry baby bird mommas, no sleep for you ever! πŸ˜‚

The Davey Moore Education Center is open Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:00-6:00 PM. Take a docent-guided tour and meet the Education Ambassador animals who now call Nature’s Nursery their home. The center is clean and the animals are enjoyable. The docents tell fabulous stories about the animals and the work done by Nature’s Nursery with an emphasis on conservation, education, and rehabilitation. Programs are available throughout the year for various age ranges. You can even book.an event, like a birthday party, or meeting in the classroom. The Lauta Zitzelberger Wildlife Rehabilitation Center is where you can drop off (with an appointment) sick, injured, or orphaned native wildlife. The helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable staff and volunteers will care for that animal, with a goal of release back into the wild.
